Closing the Gender Gap
Here's another video from the WEF about what can be done and is being done to close the worldwide gender gap. Take a look.
Gender Gap Index
Divide up into four groups. Each group will be responsible for a different aspect of the analysis.
- Economic participation and opportunity
- Percentage of women in the workforce
- Wage gap
- Promotions (number of women leaders/board members in business)
- Educational attainment
- Female literacy rate
- Ratio in primary (小學), secondary(中學), and tertiary levels(大學)
- Health and survival
- Birth ratios ("missing women")
- Female life expectancy
- Political empowerment
- Percentage of women in parliament (立法院)
- Percentage of women in cabinet positions (行政院的部長)
- Number of years of female executives (女總統的年數)
Find the relevant information for Taiwan (as recently as possible) and find out how the data was calculated. Then use your best information to help calculate the numbers for Taiwan. Will we be green, yellow, or red?
